Grown between 1,700 and 1,900 meters above sea level in Kiambu County, this coffee comes from smallholder farmers delivering cherry to the Ndumberi Factory, a member of the Komothai Farmers Cooperative Society. The region’s high elevations, volcanic soils, and cool climate have made it one of Kenya’s most respected coffee-growing areas.
After harvest, the coffee is fully washed and dried on raised beds, a process that highlights the clarity and fruit character Kenya is known for. Varieties include SL-28, SL-34, Batian, and Ruiru 11. In the cup, expect juicy strawberry, tart lemonade, hibiscus, and dark chocolate.
